Prefix

      Prefix

        Article Summary

For all collecting SEPA Direct Debt contracts, Buckaroo uses a prefix to make a distinction between the authorisations of the various Merchants. The Merchant has to use this required prefix for each mandate reference. This prefix is mentioned under the SEPA subscription, involves 3 characters and is mandatory for every collecting authorisation via Buckaroo. The Merchant decides what comes behind the prefix. Often the subscription, registration, telephone or card number within the subscriptions administration is used for this purpose.

Example: If you as a Merchant have been assigned the prefix X6A and the mandate reference number determined by the Merchant is 12000001, the authorisation has to be offered with the following mandate number: X6A12000001.

You can find the prefix in the Buckaroo account under My Buckaroo at General.
