Ready to Use

No additional setup is required. The terminal is pre-configured with your bank and credit card settings and is ready for use upon receipt.

SIM Card

Every Buckaroo mobile terminal comes with an activated SIM card, allowing you to use both the KPN mobile network and your configured WiFi access points.


Installation Buck Smart Plus (N86):

  1. Unbox the Terminal:
    1. Take the terminal out of the box.
    2. Ensure all items are included (terminal, charger with adapter).
  2. Power On:
    1. Press and hold the power button on the left side of the terminal for five seconds and release. Once fully started, the terminal will automatically enter the payment application.
  3. Perform a Test Transaction:
    1. Press the payment button.
    2. Enter the amount of €0.01.
    3. Confirm the amount with the green button.
    4. Present a card (contactless or chip with PIN).
    5. Upon successful transaction, the terminal will display AKKOORD and print a receipt.

Charging

  • The terminal can be charged with the included USB-C cable.

Main Menu

Access the menu from the main screen by pressing the MENU button. The menu includes options for:

  • Payment
  • Refund
  • Receipt Copy
  • Reporting
  • Settings
  • Technical Menu

Navigate through menu items by touching the screen. Press the GREEN ARROW to exit the menu and return to the main screen.


Performing Payments

Method 1

  1. Press the MENU button.
  2. Select PAYMENT.
  3. Enter the amount using the numeric keys (0-9).
  4. Press the CLEAR button to correct any mistakes.
  5. Confirm the amount by pressing the GREEN OK BUTTON.
  6. The terminal will display the total amount and prompt for a payment card.
    • Chip Reader: Insert the card into the chip reader on the side.
    • Contactless: Hold the card or smartphone over the printer lid.

Method 2

  1. Press the PAYMENT BUTTON on the main screen.
  2. Follow steps 3-6 from Method 1.

For payments over €50: The terminal will prompt for a PIN. The customer must enter their PIN and confirm with the GREEN OK BUTTON.

The terminal processes the payment and prints a receipt. If a chip card is used, the customer must remove the card after payment.


Refunds (Retourpinnen)

Refunds can be activated within "My SEPAY."

  1. Press the MENU button on the main screen.
  2. Select REFUND.
  3. Enter your 5-digit password and confirm with the GREEN OK BUTTON.
  4. Enter the refund amount using the numeric keys (0-9) and confirm with the GREEN OK BUTTON.
  5. The terminal will display the total amount and prompt for a payment card.
  6. The terminal processes the refund and prints a receipt. If a chip card is used, the customer must remove the card after the transaction.

Receipt Copy

  1. Press the MENU button on the main screen.
  2. Select RECEIPT COPY to print a receipt for the last approved transaction.

Tip: Use the receipt copy function to verify if a transaction was successful. It displays and/or prints the last approved transaction.


Reporting

Accessing Reports

  1. Press the MENU button on the main screen.
  2. Select REPORTING to print a report or daily statement.

X-TOTALS

  1. Print an X-TOTALS report by selecting either COMPACT or EXPANDED.
  2. The report includes the text STILL OPEN at the bottom, indicating the period is not closed and totals are carried over.

Z-TOTALS

  1. Print a Z-TOTALS report by selecting either COMPACT or EXPANDED.
  2. The report shows the total amount processed since the last Z report. The text TOTALS HAVE BEEN RESET appears at the bottom, indicating the totals are reset to zero. The new period starts after the next successful transaction.

Language Selection

  1. Press the MENU button on the main screen.
  2. Select SETTINGS.
  3. Press LANGUAGE SELECTION.
  4. Choose the desired language and confirm to return to the main screen.

Login Option

The login option links transactions to individuals or groups and can be enabled within "My SEPAY."

  1. Click the terminal icon to activate this feature.
  2. Select MENU > SETTINGS > LOGIN.
  3. Log in with your code/name and confirm with the GREEN OK BUTTON.
  4. Each payment is registered under your code/name and can be viewed in "My SEPAY" under CUSTOMER REF.

Setting a Default Amount

Ideal for situations requiring a constant charge, like restroom access or event parking. Activate this feature in "My SEPAY" and update your terminal.

  1. Press the MENU button on the main screen.
  2. Select SETTINGS > DEFAULT AMOUNT.
  3. Enter the amount (in cents) and confirm with the GREEN OK BUTTON.

Paying with a Default Amount

Once set, press the PAYMENT BUTTON on the main screen to initiate a payment with the default amount displayed.

Paying with a Different Amount

This option is available if ALLOW DIFFERENT AMOUNT is enabled in "My SEPAY."

  1. Press the MENU button on the main screen.
  2. Select PAYMENT.
  3. Enter a different amount (in cents) and confirm with the GREEN OK BUTTON.
  4. Follow the regular payment method.
