Configuration
The app needs your Buckaroo keys before it can process anything. You set these, and everything else, inside the Buckaroo app for Ecwid rather than in your Ecwid Control Panel.
Open the app
- In your Ecwid Control Panel, go to Apps → My apps and open Buckaroo Payments.
- Click General settings in the left-hand menu.
The app appears in the same language as your Ecwid store, so if your Control Panel is in Dutch the app is too. This page uses the English labels. There is no language setting inside the app itself.
The left-hand menu holds four sections:

Mode
Mode decides whether the app takes real money, and it applies to your whole store rather than to individual payment methods.

| No, I am testing | Every payment is a test payment. Nothing is charged and no money reaches you. |
| Yes, I am ready to receive payments | Your store takes real payments. |
Because Mode is set once for the whole store, a store left on testing takes no money at all, on any method. Check this first if payments seem to be going through but nothing arrives. See Test and go live.
Credentials
Both keys come from Buckaroo Plaza, under Settings → API Keys.

| Store key | The key of the Buckaroo store this Ecwid store should report to. Each store has its own key, which is what keeps transactions separated per store. |
| Secret key | The secret key for your Buckaroo account. This is the same key across all of your stores. |
Click Save, then Test credentials to confirm the app can reach your Buckaroo account. That finds a mistyped key here rather than in a failed checkout.
If your Buckaroo account holds several stores, check that you copied the key of the store you actually want to use. Test credentials succeeds with any valid key, including one from the wrong store, so it cannot catch this for you.
The app currently labels the store key field website key. It is the same key, and the label is being updated.
Descriptions
These two fields set the text your customer sees on their bank statement. Include something recognisable, such as your store name, so customers do not report the payment as unknown.

Both fields take plain text, these tags, or a mix of the two:

The app previews the result under each field. Remember to click Save.
