Installation
The Buckaroo app is listed in the Zapier App Directory, so there is nothing to download or install on a server. You connect your Buckaroo account once, and it stays available to every Zap you build afterwards.
Before you start
Have these ready:
The store key was previously called the website key. If you come across the older name in a guide, a support thread or an older integration, it refers to the same value.
Your secret key is shown once when you generate it. If you no longer have it, generate a new one in Plaza. Generating a new secret key invalidates the old one, which will break any existing connection that still uses it.
Connect your Buckaroo account
- Sign in to Zapier.
- Open the Buckaroo app in the Zapier App Directory.
- Start a new Zap and add Buckaroo as an action step.
- Choose Create Payment Link With Buckaroo as the action event.
- When Zapier asks you to sign in to Buckaroo, enter your store key and secret key.
- Zapier verifies the pair with Buckaroo before saving the connection.
If the credentials are wrong, the connection is refused straight away and nothing is stored. Check for copied whitespace first, since that is the most common cause.
Buckaroo stores your secret key encrypted. It is used only to sign the requests your Zaps make.
One connection, test and live both
The connection is not tied to test or live mode. Mode is set per action, with the Test mode field, so a single connection can serve both a Zap you are still testing and a Zap that is already taking real payments.
This is worth remembering, because it means switching a Zap to live is a change inside the Zap and not a change to the connection. See Configuration for how the field behaves.
Connecting more than one account
If you run several Buckaroo stores, add a separate connection for each one and give each a name you will recognise later. Every action step in a Zap picks its own connection, so one Zap can create links against one store while another Zap uses a different store.
