After-The-Fact

Shield After-The-Fact is automatically enabled for Shield Premium users. It lets Shield perform a second check after a transaction has been completed. This is useful for situations when new data becomes available, for example with iDEAL transactions. In that situation, Shield can create a refund or register a warning if an IBAN related rule has been triggered or a blocked IBAN has been detected. Other examples where (payment) data becomes available after-the-fact are Paypal and Sofort transactions.
