Configuration

Before you can start accepting Google Pay™ transactions you will need to go through various steps depending on the type of integration. You can use Google Pay via our own SmartCheckout or integrate the Google Pay Checkout on your website and use Buckaroo as your payment processor.

Onboarding for Google Pay

Regardless of the type of integration you will have to go through the quick onboarding process for Google Pay.

  1. Please proceed to the Plaza.
  2. Before you initiate the Onboarding please make sure to read the Buckaroo terms & conditions Payment Methods, Google Pay APIs Acceptable Use Policy and Google Pay Terms of Service.
  3. Once you have read and accepted the documents above, you can start onboarding.
  4. You will receive a GatewayMerchantID, a unique Buckaroo identifier used when making a payment request.

Configuration for SmartCheckout

Once you have finished the onboarding for Google Pay at Buckaroo and you want to use Google Pay via the Buckaroo SmartCheckout, please proceed with the SmartCheckout Activation Steps.

Configuration for direct integration

If you want to manage the Google Pay checkout and host the Google Pay button on your own website, you must first register with the Google Pay & Wallet Console. After completing the integration steps (such as adding your website domain and having your buyflow reviewed and approved), you will receive a unique Merchant ID from Google, which you will use when making a payment request.
