What's new
This new Magento release delivers a wide range of improvements and new features. At its core, the plugin code has been completely refactored and aligned with the latest Magento coding standards.
These changes provide:
- Higher stability for more reliable performance.
- Greater extensibility to adapt to future needs.
- Improved compatibility with third-party plugins.
New features
We've introduced some new features and features that where before separated in an additional plugin, but now completely integrated and improved.
Hosted Fields for credit-debitcards

What’s new:
- A new Hosted Fields solution for card payments.
How it works:
- Lets customers securely enter card details within your checkout (no redirect).
- Sensitive card data is handled in a secure Buckaroo-hosted iframe.
- Fully customizable styling to blend seamlessly with your webshop design.
- Provides a faster, more seamless experience, which improves trust and conversion rates.
- Recognizes card brands automatically and displays the appropriate brand icon.
Second chance integration

What’s new:
- The Buckaroo Second Chance functionality, previously a separate extension, is now fully integrated into the standard plugin.
How it works:
- Automatically sends reminder emails to customers who abandon their carts.
- Helps boost conversion rates with minimal manual intervention.
- Emails are sent directly from your Magento domain, so customers receive communication under your brand identity.
- Fully customizable: you can adjust templates in Magento’s built-in email template settings to match your shop’s look and tone.
Google analytics integration

Normally, Google Analytics doesn’t always track the true source of a conversion when a shopper switches devices or browsers during checkout. For example:
- A visitor clicks on your ad and starts their order on one device or browser.
- They complete the payment on another device or browser.
- The order confirmation (success page) is then shown there as well.
In this case, Google Analytics may “lose track” of where the customer originally came from, and the conversion might not be linked to the right campaign.
To solve this, our plugin stores the Google Client ID together with the order. On the success page, we use this ID to trigger an enriched tracking code that includes the correct client information. This way, conversions are properly attributed to the right source in Google Analytics—even across devices and browsers.
What’s new:
- No extra module is needed anymore — GA tracking is now part of the plugin.
How it works:
- Tracks the Google Client ID during checkout.
- Ensures attribution is preserved even when the payment is completed on another device or browser.
- Provides more accurate campaign attribution and cross-device tracking for your marketing efforts.
Hyvä Checkout support

What’s new:
- Enhanced compatibility with Hyvä Checkout, one of Magento’s most modern front-ends.
How it works:
- The Buckaroo module now integrates more smoothly with Hyvä Checkout.
Note: the Buckaroo Hyvä Checkout plugin still needs to be installed separately.
Other improvements
- Redesigned plugin menu structure.
- Push refactor & stability updates.
- Removal of deprecated methods & ObjectManager usage.
