Discontinuation

The Payconiq brand will be discontinued in Belgium after December 2025. The Payconiq solutions and app will continue to exist, but will continue under a different brand name in 2026 (with the same features and user experience).

From December 29th 2025, it will no longer be possible to pay with Payconiq via Buckaroo. If you offer Payconiq as a payment method in your checkout, we explain below what this means in concrete terms.

Do you offer the payment method via Buckaroo's Hosted Payment Page (HPP)/Smart Checkout?

You do not need to take any action. We will ensure that the Payconiq button automatically disappears from your payment methods overview on December 29, 2025.

Do you offer the payment method on your own payment page via the Buckaroo API?

We ask you to disable this payment method by December 29, 2025, at the latest, so that customers no longer see this option at checkout and to prevent Payconiq transactions from automatically receiving the status ‘failed’.

Do you offer the payment method via a plugin?

Below is an explanation of the steps you need to take for each plugin.
