If something is not working as expected, Troubleshooting covers the common failures.

Getting started

Where do I find the Buckaroo settings?

In your CCV Shop dashboard, go to App store, open the Buckaroo app and select EDIT.

Do I need a separate app for each payment method?

No. One app covers every payment method, and all settings are in one panel.

Where do I find my credentials?

In Plaza, under Settings → API Keys. The website key is unique per Buckaroo store, the secret key belongs to your account.

Testing and going live

Why are my payments not charged when the method is set to Live?

The app-wide Mode in General settings overrides the per-method setting. While it is set to No, I'm Testing, nothing is charged whatever the methods say.

Can I test one method while the rest take real payments?

The app-wide Mode applies to the whole shop, so switching it to testing stops real payments for every method. Within live mode, a method set to Test is not taking real payments either, so it is effectively unavailable to customers rather than running alongside the live ones.

Payment methods

Why does a method I enabled not appear at checkout?

Check it is set to Live rather than Off, that it is active on your Buckaroo contract, and that it supports the currency and country of the order.

Can I change the order methods appear in?

Yes, under Sort payment methods in the app. See Checkout order.

Payments and refunds

Can I refund from my CCV Shop dashboard?

No. Refunds are issued in Plaza, in full or in part. See Order management.

Does a refund update the order in CCV Shop?

No. A refund made in Plaza is not written back, so the order still shows as paid. Keep your own record of refunds and adjust the order to match your bookkeeping.

What will my customer see on their bank statement?

The transaction description you set in General settings. Using the {order_number} and {shop_name} tags makes a payment easy for a customer to recognise.
